Travel-lite with Nuitée Hackathon Winners!

On September 4th, Nuitée partnered with Google Cloud for an exhilarating hackathon at Google’s London office, emphasizing the capabilities of our liteAPI. This event gathered talented developers keen to craft outstanding travel applications, driven by the goal to prioritize customer needs and showcase what can be achieved with liteAPI.

The Challenge

The participants faced the challenge of developing an innovative travel application using liteAPI. They were tasked with presenting both a convincing pitch and a working demo of their applications, focusing on creativity and technical excellence to impress the judges.

The Event

The day buzzed with enthusiasm and innovation as developers worked tirelessly to turn their visions into reality. The environment was charged with an incredible energy, showcasing the passion and dedication of all contestants.

The Winners

The competition was fierce, and selecting the winners was a formidable task due to the high quality of all entries. However, a few managed to stand out with their unique takes on travel technology:

  • Bas Van der Haijden clinched the first place with his app, Sunny Stays, taking home €10,000.

  • James Berry, Alex Christou, & Annabelle Rose from Veed secured second place with their app, Surf Now, earning €5,000.

  • Michael Godfrey, David Vella, & Noah Vincenz Noeh from Love Holidays captured third place, awarded €3,000.

The Impact

This hackathon not only demonstrated the versatility of liteAPI but also highlighted the innovative spirit within the tech community. It provided a platform for developers to display their skills in creating solutions that prioritize user experience and leverage modern technology to enhance travel.
